What is Neuro Ophthalmology?

Neuro-ophthalmology deals with diseases of the optic nerves and other cranial nerves and pathways which are involved in vision and eye movements predominantly. It includes evaluation and management of optic neuritis, ischemic optic neuropathy, sudden onset of diplopia and squinting of the eyes. Visual filed testing, neuroimaging are among few of the important tests used for treating many of these disorders.
