It was started in 1998 and had 2 seats. The number of seats was increased to 4 in 2017. The PG training programme is affiliated to the National Board of Examination and follows the schedule.Primary DNB (Duration – 3 Years) : 2 No of Seats

2. Fellowship Programme.
A. Fellowship in Medical & Surgical Vitreo Retina.
The fellowship programme (conducted) in MEDICAL & surgical retina has been introduced & offers hands-on training in instrumentation & procedures like lasers, FFA & exposure to surgical procedureS & intra vitreal injections. It was started in 2018. We have trained 2 fellows in medical retina & one fellow in medical & surgical retina. The duration is 18 months.B. Fellowships is Comprehensive Ophthalmology-.
This is a new programme introduced in the year 2021. We are currently training 3 fellows in comprehensive ophthalmology.-
Training is offered in basic evaluation and procedures Anterior segment:
- I. Evaluation
- II. Laser based procedures.
- III. Cataract surgery – SICS and basic phacoemulsification.
- IV. Evaluation of Paedratric Ophthalmic disorder and basic management.
- V. Neurophthalmolgy
- VI. Oculoplasty – basic procedures like DCT, Pterygium surgery.
